Viably adds Maverick Equipment as dealer

Viably LLC, the North American master distributor of Komptech equipment and systems, has partnered with Maverick Environmental Equipment in which Maverick will offer Komptech products and technology from locations in Michigan and Ohio.

“Effective immediately, Maverick will represent Viably and Komptech across Michigan and Ohio, further enhancing service responsiveness, equipment availability and customer support throughout the Midwest,” Viably says.

As an authorized Viably dealer, Maverick will provide sales, service and parts for Komptech’s line of equipment that includes shredders, screens, separators and other technologies used in wood recycling, organics processing, construction and demolition (C&D) materials sorting and municipal recycling applications.

“We’re excited to partner with Viably and support customers with proven Komptech solutions,” Maverick Managing Partner and CEO John O’Neil says. “Our team is built around supporting customers long after the sale, and this partnership allows us to bring that service-first approach to a broader range of operations across the region.

Because of the arrangement, customers are poised to benefit from shorter lead times, expanded inventory and direct access to technical expertise, according to Denver-based Viably, which says that Maverick’s established footprint, including multiple locations and an experienced staff of mobile technicians and application specialists, positions the company to support customers with a localized, service-driven approach that has become the company's hallmark.

“Customer support is a critical factor in how we evaluate and build our dealer network,” says Kevin Yuncker, director of dealer development at Viably. “Maverick’s focus on service, combined with their strong presence in the region, makes them a natural fit as we continue to support customers with reliable equipment and responsive local support.”

In addition to offering Komptech technology, Maverick offers sales, service and parts for several other brands of equipment, including Eagle Crusher, McCloskey International, Morbark and Terramac.

In addition to being the North American master distributor of Komptech, Viably acts as a U.S. distributor for Harp Renewables food waste technology, Scott Equipment Co. food waste depackaging and drywall recycling systems and MGL stacking conveyors and mulch coloring units and a regional distributor in the southwestern U.S. for Diamond Z grinders.



Terex, Rev Group complete merger

Terex Corp. of Norwalk, Connecticut, and Rev Group Inc. of Brookfield, Wisconsin, have completed a merger agreement to form a premier specialty equipment manufacturer.

The companies first announced entry into the agreement in October of last year, citing plans to jointly manufacture emergency, waste, utilities, environmental and materials processing equipment.

Rev Group consists of companies that design and manufacture specialty vehicles, including fire apparatus, emergency vehicles and commercial infrastructure vehicles like trailer and truck-towing terminal trucks and street sweepers.

Terex Corp. brands in the recycling sector include Powerscreen, EvoQuip, Finlay, CBI, Terex Ecotec and Fuchs.

Combining the portfolios is anticipated to generate $75 million of run-rate value in 2028, with approximately 50 percent achieved over the next 12 months. According to Terex, the resulting combined company features lower capital intensity and strong free cash flow.

Following the completion of the merger, Rev stock has ceased trading and is no longer listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The combined company will trade on the NYSE as Terex Corp., or TEX.

Darda equipment now available in North America

Darda North America has been formed to bring the German company’s attachments for compact carriers, such as mini excavators, telehandlers and skid steers, to the U.S. and Canada.

The company’s lineup includes low-noise, low-dust and low-vibration solutions, like bolt cutters, concrete crushers, rock splitters, shears and tank cutters, that are suitable for a range of applications, including interior demolition, trenching and rock excavation.

The attachments are distributed by Brokk Inc., based in Monroe, Washington, and the North American market now has access to a range of equipment:

  • Darda’s Bolt Cutters offer a compact, hydraulic cold-cutting option with no sparks or open flames. These attachments can cut through high-strength rebar up to 1.3 inches in diameter with maximum safety, the company says.
  • Darda’s Concrete Crushers have large jaw openings and a crushing force of 44-54 tons, depending on the model, and the crushers can handle concrete slabs 17-22 inches thick. Also, all models can cut through rebar up to 1.2 inches in diameter. The Concrete Crushers also can be converted into steel shears by changing the jaw sets, according to Darda.
  • Darda’s Tank Cutter attachment provides cold, continuous cutting for steel tanks, pipes and vessels. Its adjustable cutting gap offers a 120,000-pound cutting force in materials up to 0.5 inches thick, the company says.
  • The company says its Steel Shears’ 228,000-pound cutting force works independent of the carrier’s hydraulic pressure for consistent power and enhanced control with an 8-inch opening for easy positioning.
  • Darda says its Rock Splitters have up to 3.6 million pounds of splitting force. A drilled hole in the rock with a diameter of 3 inches is required before the splitter is inserted and adjusted to set the splitting direction. The wedge drives between the two counter wedges to press them apart.

“Any kind of demolition—whether that’s cutting metal or breaking concrete or rock—can be really bothersome to the people living or working nearby,” says Sébastien Berche, business development manager for Hamilton, Ontario-based Darda North America. “Darda attachments offer a way to mitigate the negative effects of noise and vibration.”



Kaeser Compressors opens factory-direct branches in Florida

Kaeser Compressors Inc., the United States headquarters of German manufacturer Kaeser Kompressoren SE, has opened factory-direct branches to serve customers throughout south Florida.

The company says the combination of brick-and-mortar facilities and mobile warehouse service vehicles provides direct manufacturer support, including service, parts, equipment sales and system engineering to customers from Key West to Port St. Lucie. 

“We are committed to providing our south Florida customers with the seamless support they deserve,” says Matt McCorkle, Kaeser director of branch operations. “We are on the ground and prepared to execute, ensuring our customers’ systems achieve peak reliability and maximum energy efficiency without delay.” 

Kaeser says its local team of certified experts is available to assist with immediate needs from routine maintenance and troubleshooting to complete system design and installation. The new branches offer a direct line to the manufacturer, ensuring faster response times and technical expertise for industrial, commercial and institutional users.
