Jake, Connor & Crew Introduces Electronic Card Lock
Kitchener, Ontario-based Jake, Connor & Crew, a manufacturer of containers for the document destruction industry, has announced what it is describing as "the highest security locking system available for a shredding console."
The consoles do not feature an exterior lock. Instead, when a driver waves the keycard in front of the console, the secure lock releases, and the door opens. A gentle push is all that is required to lock the cabinet after its contents have been removed, the company says.
The lock can be set to 50 different codes, which can be changed at any time, along with an available master key.
According to the company, the lock supports up to 20,000 uses per battery.
