ASI Releases VCK-SQL Records Center Software
Andrews Software Inc. (ASI), Cleveland, has announced the release of VCK-SQL, the next generation of ASI’s Visual Corporate Keeper records center application.
VCK-SQL uses the power and scalability of SQL Server 2005, Microsoft’s integrated data management and analysis software. "VCK-SQL provides users with increased data availability, manageability and strengthened security to better meet the needs of businesses of all sizes," according to a press release from ASI.
VCK-SQL enables ASI to further build and enhance its flagship records center application, particularly as it relates to incorporating the latest handheld mobile scanners and computer technology and real-time transactions, according to the company. Furthermore, it sets the stage for further implementation of the Microsoft .NET framework within the ASI family of software solutions.
"A great deal of research and resources have been invested in the design of VCK-SQL," ASI President and COO Scott Bidwell says. "We wanted to provide our customers with the same easy-to-use interface they have grown to appreciate, while delivering the scalability and security SQL 2005 has to offer."
An upgrade incentive program is available to users to ease the transition from VCK to VCK-SQL. Customers who opt not to upgrade at this time will continue to be supported for the foreseeable future; however, ASI says new development will be in VCK-SQL.
ASI offers software for commercial and corporate records centers, media vaults and document destruction companies.
