Sennebogen Recognizes Top Three Distributors

Erich Sennebogen, owner and managing director of Germany-based Sennebogen Maschinenfabrik GmbH, and Constantino Lannes, president of Sennebogen America, Charlotte, N.C., recognized the top three Sennebogen distributors in North America for 2007 at the 2008 ISRI Convention & Exhibition in April. Accepting the honor were Lee Gibson of Gibson Machinery, Cleveland; Bill Kretschmer of Binder Machinery, South Plainfield, N.J.; and John Van Ruitenbeek of Briggs Construction Equipment, Charolette, N.C.

"Quality distributors like Gibson, Binder and Briggs, along with the inspired leadership from Lee, Bill and John, are one of the main reasons why Sennebogen has enjoyed the type of success it has since coming on the North American market in 2000," Lannes says. "Their knowledge of the product, dedication to excellence and commitment to their customers are paramount to our success."

Lee Gibson, owner and president of heavy equipment dealer Gibson Machinery is honored to once again be recognized as one of the Top Three Sennbogen distributors in North America—an honor Gibson Machinery has enjoyed every year since the awards have been given out. Gibson says there is no real secret behind his firm’s success other than a great product and great service.

"Sennebogen is a family-owned business that listens to its customers’ needs and designs their machines to meet the desired application. As a new product, Sennebogen has become more accepted in a shorter amount of time than any other I’ve ever been involved with," Gibson says.

"John Van Ruitenbeek, Bill Kretschmer and Lee Gibson are indicative of the high quality distributors we have assembled on our team. We all share in their success," Erich Sennebogen says.

Eriez Sells Metal Sorter to WTE Recycling Corp.

Eriez Magnetics, Erie, Pa., has announced that Greenfield, Mass.-based wTe Recycling Corp. has placed an order for a 90-inch wide Eriez ProSort Metal Sorter.

WTe’s Metals Division, which processes municipal and traditional ferrous and nonferrous metals using a variety of equipment and methodologies, will install the Eriez ProSort.

"We are confident that the addition of the ProSort Metal Sorter to wTe’s operations will increase efficiency and provide a significant return on investment," says Al Gedgaudus, Eriez recycling product manager. Gedgaudus says with ProSort’s electromagnetic "six pack" paddle system, scrap handlers can save up to 75 percent of the cost of running a typical 125-horsepower air compressor plant.

According to Eriez, the ProSort improves metal separation while functioning at a fraction of the cost of air-power metal sorters. Two additional benefits include the reduction in monitoring compared to air sorters and an improvement in plant air quality with less dust creation, Eriez says.

Designed for the scrap metals market, the U.S. patent-pending ProSort airless metal recovery system uses high-sensitivity metal sensors aligned with low-energy electromagnetically driven paddles to separate valuable metals from waste material.

ProSort’s modular design and alignment of sensors, paddles and controls allows the components to operate in different modes during a single cycle. Its dual mode segregates waste material, ferrous metals, nonferrous and stainless steel in a single operation.

Lindemann LIS Scrap Shears Are Now Assembled in North America

The Lindemann LIS scrap shear, which is designed to process up to 20 tons per hour and is available in stationary and semi-mobile configurations, is now being assembled in North America by Metso Minerals Industries.

A great deal of the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical design used in Lindemann’s EtaCut has also been incorporated into the LIS.

Metso Minerals, based in Finland, is now taking orders for machines assembled in North America to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Metso has U.S. offices in Brunswick, Ohio, and San Antonio.

Komptech Introduces New Single-Shaft Shredder

Austria-based Komptech’s new single-shaft shredder, the Terminator, is available in a mobile and stationary version.

As a slow-running, single-shaft shredder, it can be used for all types of materials. The continuous cutting-gap adjustment allows particle size to be tailored to the processing stage, from coarse preprocessing to shredding.
