Vecoplan LLC, High Point, N.C., unveiled its new mobile shredding system at the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) 2008 Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif., in early April.
The VST-42e Mobile Document and Product Destruction System employs a compact, power-take-off- (PTO-) driven 180kVA generator to power its
shredding system. Other features include QuickLink Plug-and-Play Docking technology and the TaskMaster Application Management System.
When deployed in the mobile mode, the PTO-driven compact generator provides power. The truck can also be used as a stationary system by plugging into three-phase industrial power.
The truck uses half the diesel of a traditional PTO-driven hydraulic shredder system, according to Vecoplan.
