Accurate Document Destruction Buys Bollegraaf Baler

Accurate Document Destruction, Lawrenceville, N.J., has purchased a Bollegraaf HBC-120 baler with an extra-wide feed hopper and ruffler, feeding conveyor and sorting platforms for all paper grades.

The Bollegraaf HBC-120 is the most recent addition to the Bollegraaf baler line and produces 30-inch-by-45-inch bales. Like all Bollegraaf balers, the HBC-120 features the signature pre-press flap, which allows the baler to perform at high capacity without shearing, according to Van Dyk Baler, the North American distributor for Bollegraaf.

American Baler Intros New Hydraulic Valve

American Baler, Bellvue, Ohio, has a new high-flow hydraulic logic valve available for its 20- and 30-horsepower balers.

When used in conjunction with a manifold block and screw-in cartridge control valves, the new logic valve is designed to replace the existing subplate and directional spool valves.

American Baler says the new unit contains fewer components and is designed to improve efficiency by providing enhanced flow characteristics and reducing heat generation. "While competitive high-flow logic valves contain bolted-on caps with up to seven seals that are prone to external leakage, American Baler reduces the external seals to one, greatly reducing potential leaks," according to a press release.

The new logic valve is available on new balers only and cannot be retrofitted.

Vecoplan Introduces VST-32i Mobile Shredding System

Archdale, N.C.-based Vecoplan LLC, a manufacturer of mobile shredding systems for the secure information destruction industry, introduced its new VST-32i Mobile Document and Product Destruction System at the 2006 NAID Annual Conference in Phoenix May 14-16 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa.

"The VST-32i is the result of several years of R&D, field study and real-world experience," according to a press release from Vecoplan. "This high-performance edition of the popular Vecoplan VST-32 mobile destruction system offers higher throughput capacity, faster reaction times, payload enhancements, ease of operation and maintenance and a new level of reliability." Vecoplan’s VST-32i features a more efficient hydraulic system, redesigned payload compaction system and enhanced controls and programming compared to the company’s VST-32 model.

Vecoplan National Sales Manager of Mobile Technologies Robb Espinosa says "the high-performance version of the VST-32 retains all of the important features that Vecoplan pioneered a few years back. Incorporation of the single-shaft shredder, live-floor discharge, unsurpassed controls interface, lightweight composite body—all of this lives on with the VST-32i."

The features retained from Vecoplan’s VST-32 model shredding truck are the Lock ’N Load universal bin lifter (built exclusively for Vecoplan by Toter), the Transonite composite body (by Martin Marietta Composites), the EasyGlide loading enclosure, the 4400 Navistar International chassis and the SureTrac live floor.

Len Beusse, Vecoplan COO, says, "We certainly see the need to expand our mobile product line to both larger and smaller shredding trucks; however, the Vecoplan philosophy has always been to focus on fully developing an original model before introducing even newer models." Beusse adds, "With the VST-32i, we feel we have now optimized the original and will soon move on to new models."

Vecoplan is a manufacturer of industrial shredding and recycling solutions for mobile and plant-based applications. More information on the company and the VST-32i are available at www.vecoplanllc.com.
