Royal Debuts Kitchen Shredder

Secure shredding firms that place on-site units may have an interest in the newest product from Royal Consumer Information Products of Somerset, N.J. The KS7 Kitchen Shredder is designed to handle smaller volumes of paper and other items.

Royal’s KS7 Shredder combines the functionality of a generous 10-gallon general household trash receptacle with the practicality of a 5.3-gallon capacity office shredder to make shredding easy, convenient and immediately accessible, the company says.

The shredder is capable of shredding credit cards and CDs and can also handle seven folded sheets of paper. It features a safety roller guard over the feed slot opening. The polished metal lid and bin front contrast with the black injection-molded plastic shredder bin to create an easy-to-store disposal unit with a sleek, sophisticated look. The housing is made from flame retardant ABS plastic.

The new KS7 is 27 inches high, 10 inches wide and 18 inches deep. It weighs 22 pounds.

The shredder, which has a suggested retail price of $199.99, is available at Target, Circuit City, Frontgate and other department stores.
