GENESIS ESTABLISHES EUROPEAN FOOTHOLD
Genesis Equipment & Manufacturing Inc., Superior, Wisc., has established a European division with headquarters in Rosmalen, the Netherlands.
Roland van Puijenbroek has been named general manager of the Genesis Equipment & Manufacturing (Europe) division, which will include additional distribution and service centers throughout Europe.
NEW HOLLAND TO BUY CASE
It’s a multi-national equipment company with the emphasis on “multi.”
Case Corp., Racine, Wisc., is being acquired by New Holland N.V., a Dutch-based equipment conglomerate that is itself owned by Italy’s Fiat.
The new $12 billion company will have a major presence in the construction and agriculture equipment making and financing segments.
It is unclear to what extent personnel at either Case’s headquarters in Racine or at New Holland’s North American headquarters in New Holland, Pa., will be affected by the merger.
J.V. ADDS CALIFORNIA MANUFACTURING SITE
J.V. Manufacturing Inc., Springdale, Ark., has added to its manufacturing capacity by acquiring space in Sacramento, Calif. “This is an opportunity for us to supply Cram-a-Lot solid waste and recycling equipment to our expanding western customer base in a more efficient and responsive manner,” says Chris Weiser, president of J.V. Manufacturing Inc.
Weiser notes that “J.V. opened a service and sales office in Sacramento a year and a half ago, and this is just another step in our growth in the West, and an opportunity to establish a physical presence and reinforce customer confidence in Cram-a-Lot equipment.”
SSI SHREDDER INSTALLED AT UK FACILITY
DME Tyres Ltd. in Chase Terrace, England, recently installed a tire shredding system made by SSI Shredding Systems Inc., Wilsonville, Ore. The company is referring to the Series 50 Model 3800 shredder from SSI as “one of the largest tire shredding systems in the United Kingdom.” Industrial Shredding Systems Ltd. of Cirencester, England installed the 400 horsepower hydraulic slow-speed shredder. It features a 52-inch by 75-inch cutting chamber and can process up to 15 tons of tires per hour.
