The design featured:
• A backwall in the feed chamber that eliminates most material flyback
• Slower running rotors that help reduce the ricochet effect
• Closely matched chamber, rotor and drive components.

SENNEBOGEN 340G telehandler improves the view in Macon County, NC
An elevated cab is one of several features improving operational efficiency at the Macon County Solid Waste Management agency in North Carolina. When it comes to waste management, efficiency, safety and reliability are priorities driving decisions from day one, according to staff members of the Macon County Solid Waste Management Department in western North Carolina. The agency operates a recycling plant in a facility originally designed to bale incoming materials. More recently, the building has undergone significant transformations centered around one machine: a SENNEBOGEN telehandler (telescopic handler).
TJN Enterprises, Sioux Falls, S.D., has installed a pedestal-mounted scrap handler from Northshore Manufacturing. Kevin Kopsas, general manager at two of TJN’s facilities, says the Builtrite Model 4600 has made the business more efficient.
The Model 4600 is equipped with a four-tine Builtrite grapple and features a 45-foot, two-section boom. The unit feeds more than 125 tons of material each day. The Builtrite unit allows the company to have one person perform both operation of the stationary shear and the crane to feed it.
