AERC Recycling Solutions, Flanders, N.J., has acquired the secure data destruction and disposal system (SDDS) operations of DynTek Inc., Irvine, Calif. The acquisition includes contracts, operations and management software.
Under the terms of the sale, DynTek’s proprietary Secure Asset Management Software Program, related intellectual property and the company’s statewide secure data destruction contract with Virginia will be transferred to AERC, which has served as DynTek’s primary subcontractor on the Virginia contract for the past three years.
"DynTek’s SDDS operations are a perfect complement to Com-Cycle, a wholly owned subsidiary of AERC and our electronics recycling business unit, and a logical step in our growth that calls for expanding our footprint, strategic acquisitions, business combinations and joint ventures," Peter Jegou, CEO of AERC and Com-Cycle, says.
Lindsay Landmesser, vice president of sales, adds, "With our business volume, solution focus and recycling sales and management expertise, the company can capitalize on this business through the expansion of opportunities within the Virginia SDDS contract and the use of the Secure Asset Management Software Program in other areas as well."
