Indiana Electronics Recycling Company Expands Operations

Asset Forwarding, an Indianapolis-based computer recycler and refurbisher, has expanded one of its two facilities. The 12,800-square-foot expansion comes less than a year after the company moved into its new facility in January.

The expanded facility includes secure shredding and separation staging to complement the facility’s asset management services. A new state-of-the-art shredder from SSI Shredding Systems, Wilsonville, Ore., enables the company to shred hard drives down to a ¾-inch-minus size on a production-level scale, according to information from SSI.

"We are fortunate that this space came available just in time to fit our needs," says Mark Vander Kooy, president and founder of Asset Forwarding. "This added space will allow us to continue to serve the strictest corporate customers in the nation by providing a one-stop solution that maximizes the security and value associated with the asset retirement process."

Kooy adds, "This is a tribute to our entire team and also a sign of the overall direction of the industry. The need to control the entire process is becoming very important, and our clients are some of the strictest around."

The facility, which now totals 32,000 square feet, operates to strict environmental and safety standards, according to Asset Forwarding. "Our key differentiator is that we provide the strictest chain of custody and most comprehensive services in the industry," Kooy says. "We are truly the one-call, one-stop solution for moving, removing and recycling technology in accordance with the strictest environmental and security standards."
