Cyclyx International appoints two to executive team

Rick Cochrane has been named senior vice president, strategy and business development, and Lauren Etlinger joins Cyclyx as general counsel.

Cyclyx International, a Portsmouth, New Hampshire-based postuse plastic feedstock management company, has announced several key appointments to its executive team to advance its consortia-based recycling platform. Rick Cochrane has been named senior vice president, strategy and business development, and Lauren Etlinger joins Cyclyx as general counsel. These new appointments will support the Cyclyx team as it scales its mission to increase the recyclability of plastic.

Cochrane joins Cyclyx from Continuus Materials where he was senior vice president of business development. During his time at Continuus, Cochrane managed and developed key business partnerships for the company. Prior to Continuus, he was CEO and chief operating officer, respectively, of two private-equity owned businesses, the former specializing in plastic products manufacturing and the latter in electronics recycling. Cochrane also worked for nine years at Waste Management (WM). During his time at WM he served in a variety of management positions, including in WM's Organic Growth Group where he was responsible for developing growth strategies for new waste to value businesses. Cochrane holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.

Lauren Etlinger joins Cyclyx from ExxonMobil Corp. At ExxonMobil, Etlinger provided legal counsel to the ExxonMobil Fuels and Lubricants Co., including gasoline and feedstock supply coordination, products, crude and gasoline logistics optimization, sales and marketing. Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Etlinger practiced law at the international law firm of Norton Rose Fulbright, focusing on business litigation, compliance matters and internal investigations. She began her legal career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Marcia Crone in U.S. District Court for the eastern district of Texas.

“We are excited to add Rick and Lauren to our team,” says Joe Vaillancourt, president of Cyclyx. “Rick’s experience in waste-based feedstocks will be invaluable in executing our strategic priorities and expanding key business partnerships which lie at the core of the organization’s future growth. Lauren brings extensive legal expertise in the industry, including feedstock supply management critical to implementing new supply chain strategies for plastic recycling. I look forward to working with Rick and Lauren.”
