Complete Recycling, a San Diego-based recycling company that assists companies in developing effective waste and recyclable handling methods, has opened its first office in the eastern United States.
Complete Recycling says the expansion to Mobile, Alabama, comes at a pivotal time in the industry as businesses look to implement landfill diversion goals and sustainability initiatives. Consumers are increasingly aware of the environmental practices of corporate America and are demanding accountability, according to the company. Wal-Mart’s Sustainability Index, a measurement system used to track the environmental impact of products, is a case in point of doing business responsibly.
“This is an exciting time for Complete Recycling,” says Kevin Flynn, general manager of Complete Recycling. “Since our founding five years ago, we have had tremendous success and growth by providing clients with irreplaceable value. This expansion will allow us to better serve our ever-growing, national client base.”
He adds that one area seeing significant growth has been the food waste sector. More food manufacturing facilities are looking for ways to improve their landfill diversion rates. Complete Recycling, Flynn points out, is able to work with its clients to craft a program that could consider composting, recycling and renewable energy options for the materials it needs to find end markets for. Flynn says his company acts as a master service provider (MSP).
Flynn says the decision to open an office in Mobile is because of the significant increase in the number of manufacturing facilities opening in the southeastern United States.
Kahley Malloy will head the office, serving as managing director of Complete Recycling’s regional office. In his new role, Malloy will be responsible for business development, vendor management and client satisfaction.
Prior to joining Complete Recycling, Malloy owned a landfill diversion and spend-management consultancy, worked for Oakleaf Waste Management and was part of Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Services Group. “Kahley brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to our team. We are very excited to add such a talented professional,” says Flynn.
Complete Recycling designs and manages comprehensive recycling and waste diversion solutions for medium to large-scale commercial companies on a national level.
