Rush 2 Recycle

The NFL, in partnership with PepsiCo, Aramark, U.S. Bank Stadium and the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, announced Rush2Recycle, a 90 percent game day goal to maximize recycling and composting efforts at the stadium.
Packaging progress

McDonald’s customers are saying “I’m Lovin’ It” after a recent announcement that the company plans to improve its packaging and to help significantly reduce waste. By 2025, 100 percent of McDonald’s guest packaging will come from renewable, recycled or certified sources with a preference for Forest Stewardship Council certification. Also by 2025, the company has set a goal to recycle guest packaging in 100 percent of McDonald’s restaurants.
McDonald’s says it understands that recycling infrastructure, regulations and consumer behaviors vary city to city and country to country around the world, but it plans to be part of the solution and help influence change
Monitoring e-scrap

A joint study, “The Global E-Waste Monitor 2017,” released by the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), Vienna; United Nations University (UNU), Tokyo; and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Geneva, reports that 44.7 million metric tons of electronic scrap were generated globally in 2016. This was an increase of 3.3 million metric tons, or 8 percent, from 2014. Of those 44.7 million metric tons, 20 percent was documented as having been collected and recycled.
