NEW MEMBERS JOIN CMRA

The Construction Materials Recycling Association (CMRA), Lisle, Ill., has received membership registrations from 15 companies, organizations and individuals in the past four months. All are involved in the C&D recycling industry in some way.

"We are grateful in these tough economic times, when so many trade associations are seeing their membership rolls plummet, that we have been experiencing tremendous growth," says William Turley, executive director of the CMRA.

Turley also has announced that the CMRA is planning no membership dues increases in the next year.

The new members are:

• Norton Environmental Equipment, Independence, Ohio, equipment maker;

• Granite Construction Co., Indio, Calif., C&D recycler;

• Recycle America, Rockville, Ind., C&D recycler;

• Recycling Systems Inc., Forest Park, Ill., C&D waste generator and hauler;

• Global Environmental Strategies, Chelmsford, Mass., C&D consultant;

• Sherbrooke O.E.M., Port Jefferson, N.Y., equipment manufacturer;

• Ventura County SWM Dept., Ventura, Calif., government agency;

• Tim Goodman & Associates, St. Louis Park, Minn., C&D industry consultant;

• Palo Alto Recycling Program, Palo Alto, Calif., government agency; and

• William E. Dailey Inc., Shaftsbury, Vt., construction material processor.

The Annual Meeting of the CMRA will be taking place Jan. 19-22 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

CMRA RAMPING UP FOR MEETING

CMRA RAMPING UP FOR MEETING Response has been strong to the CMRA’s Annual Meeting, set for Jan. 19 to 22 at the Wyndham Resort & Spa in Fort Lauder-dale, Fla., according to the CMRA’s executive director, William Turley.

"Almost all the booth space has been sold out and attendee registrations are being received at a fast clip," says Turley.

The meeting, which is the 10th Annual C&D World event, also will feature tours of local C&D recycling centers, an equipment demonstration area and a golf tournament.
