The Brussels-based Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) has contracted with Bryan Cave International Trade Pte Ltd. (BCIT) to provide legislative and regulatory intelligence with respect to the recovery and recycling of commodities in China and India. BCIT released the first of its quarterly reports in September.
“With this assignment, BIR is considerably improving its monitoring in these key business regions that host a growing recycling industry,” BIR President Dominique Maguin said at the time of the initial announcement this summer. “We will be more proactive and capable of adapting faster to any important development and, therefore, offer a much better service to our membership.”
BCIT provides quarterly reports on India and China that focus on legislation, notifications and draft policies and proposals by the respective governments regarding the recovery and recycling of commodities. The reports are available to BIR member companies at www.bir.org.
