The Bureau of International Recycling announced that, upon recommendation by its Executive Committee, it has hired Bryan Cave International Trade Pte Ltd (BCIT) to provide legislative and regulatory intelligence on recycling markets in China and India.
BCIT is a customs and trade consultancy that provides strategic and operational advice on the regulatory environment.
“With this assignment, BIR is considerably improving its monitoring in these key business regions that host a growing recycling industry”, says Dominique Maguin, president of the BIR. “We will be more proactive and capable of adapting faster to any important development and therefore offer a much better service to our membership.”
BCIT will provide quarterly reports on India and China. The reports will focus on legislation, notifications, draft policies and draft proposals by the two governments, various ministries and agencies regarding the recovery and recycling of BIR commodities. The reports will be made available to BIR member companies.
