Shared Logic has been serving the needs of the recycling industry since 1982. The Holland, Ohio-based company is known for being responsive to the needs of its customers and willing to custom engineer portions of its software to meet their unique requirements. Recent investments Shared Logic has made to develop the next generation of its software products and to grow its staff ensure the company continues to honor its reputation.

More than 4,300 end users (and growing) use the company’s RIMAS™ NT/P software as their primary accounting and operational software. Shared Logic’s suite of software solutions addresses the accounting, management and operational needs of recycling companies of various sizes ranging from single-location yards to those with hundreds of locations. Its next generation of products continues the company’s tradition of tailoring solutions to its customers’ needs and meeting them where they are.

That tradition of responding to customers’ needs has led Shared Logic to begin development on a hybrid platform that will feature browser-based access points, allowing clients to determine whether their data is hosted online or at the client’s location.

Clint Matthews, sales manager at Shared Logic, says the push to cloud-based software technologies has been happening for the past 10-plus years and is accelerating. “Our customers are requesting an all-inclusive cloud product that leverages our 40-plus years of industry experience. Our goal is to deliver a hybrid cloud platform, meaning a customer can select our SaaS product in the cloud and scale down their dedicated infrastructure, or they can opt to run it in their private cloud or even on-premises within their own data center,” he says. “Working together with our customers and giving them a choice has always been one of our strategic advantages.”

Unlike some competitors that offer web-based software, he says, Shared Logic offers a full suite of solutions that includes RIMAS™ NT/P, the company’s recycling industry management and accounting system, RIMAS™ MMC (Maintenance Management & Control), the RIMAS™ Online client portal, Mobile Dispatch and E-Doc Executive.

Matthews says the last two years have brought considerable growth and change to Shared Logic as the company embraced remote work, which expanded its talent pool and made it a better company. Shared Logic has tripled in size with the expansion of its support, development and administrative teams. The expanded resources have allowed Shared Logic to make a push toward new technology and to be the industry standard as a software provider.

The company continues to embrace change, with a new look, new website and new products to come.
