The electronics recycling company Advanced Technology Recycling (ATR) has announced the acquisition of Electronic Recycling Solutions (ERS), an electronics recycling firm based in Salt Lake City. Since forming in 2008, ERS, which is listed as a disabled veteran-owned small business, has achieved a host of certifications, including R2:2013, ISO: 9001, ISO: 14001 and OHSAS: 18001, and has been named a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher.
According to ATR, the deal will allow ERS to better serve its clients by providing them with more locations.
Scott Campbell, the founder of ERS, will continue to work with ATR to help grow the business.
ATR says the acquisition is part of its commitment to improve services to a growing list of West Coast-based customers and will offer asset management and secure destruction solutions to more customers.
ATR is an R2 (Responsible Recycling) certified company, possesses a GSA (General Services Administration) Schedule and is registered by the U.S. State Department to manage International Traffic and Arms Regulations grade defense articles for the Department of Defense and aerospace customers.
ATR currently operates six R2 certified facilities in Pontiac and Peoria, Illinois; Grand Rapids, Michigan; San Antonio; Birmingham, Alabama; Buffalo, New York; and a recently opened facility in Richmond Virginia.
“Customer Service is our top priority,” says Ken Ehresman, COO of ATR. “We continue to refine and expand our competencies as our customers’ needs change.”
