Arrow Electronics Inc. has signed an agreement to acquire all of the assets and operations of Intechra, an information technology asset disposition company headquartered in Jackson, Miss.
Intechra’s services include legislative compliance, data security and destruction, risk management, redeployment, remarketing, lease return, logistics management and recycling of all types of information technology. The company operates sales offices and processing centers throughout the United States as well as globally through a global network of partners.
"Intechra serves as a continuation of our strategy to provide comprehensive services across the entire product lifecycle for our suppliers and customers," says Michael Long, chairman, president, and CEO officer of Arrow Electronics in a release.
Intechra has about 300 employees. Total sales for the company were about $75 million for the most recent fiscal year. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2010.
Arrow Electronics, headquartered in Melville, N.Y., provides products, services and solutions to industrial and commercial users of electronic components and enterprise computing solutions. The company has a global network of more than 310 locations in 51 countries.
