Apto Solutions expands with California facility

The new site is Apto’s third location.

Atlanta-based information technology asset disposition (ITAD) provider Apto Solutions plans to expand and add a new facility in California’s Bay Area. Apto offers data destruction, value recovery and sustainable asset disposition services. With existing facilities in Atlanta and in Austin, Texas, the new Bay Area site is the company’s third location.

According to a news release from Apto Solutions, the Bay Area hub will be equipped to handle any electronic assets that customers use.

“For all of our facilities, we have been able to build specific processing lines for each type of equipment that can scale with our customer needs,” says Apto CEO Jeffrey Jones. “Our business increasingly requires flexibility, so we have evolved to provide just that.”

Apto says it will also apply insights from its recently piloted circularity project at the new site. According to Apto, the project is testing new models for recycling and reuse with the goal of lessening environmental impact. “We were able to use data to track the circular application of the recycled materials from electronic waste into new raw materials or products,” Jones says. “Taking what we’ve learned, we’re now deploying those lessons companywide in all of our facilities with the goal of tracing the circularity for every asset a customer sends. Our hope is to provide that vital data to our customers so that they can improve their own processes toward building a better world.”

According to Apto, Jason King, an ITAD industry veteran with two decades of experience in managing operations, will be the director of West Coast operations at the new Bay Area facility.
