Advanced Disposal Services Inc., a solid waste and recycling company based in Ponte Vedra, Florida, has completed the acquisition of certain assets of Hornback Recycling & Disposal Inc. of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
The acquisition includes residential and commercial customers in Washtenaw, Wayne, Livingston and Oakland Counties in Michigan. Some 18 Hornback employees, including office staff and drivers, will join Advanced Disposal.
“Hornback presented an opportunity to tuck in new residential and commercial customers into our existing collection operations, thus increasing efficiencies and densities while growing our operations,” says Dave Lavender, Advanced Disposal region vice president. “We look forward to servicing our new customers and welcoming them as well as our new employees to the Advanced Disposal family.”
Former Hornback customers will be served by Advanced Disposal’s Ann Arbor hauling location beginning in early January.
Advanced Disposal bills itself as the largest privately owned environmental services company in the United States. It provides nonhazardous solid waste collection, recycling and disposal services to residential, commercial, industrial and construction customers in 17 states and the Bahamas.
