LKQ Corp., Chicago, has announced it will sponsor the Women’s Industry Network (WIN) for the first time in 2022 at the Platinum level.
“This partnership is the next step as LKQ continues to pursue relationships with organizations that enhance their commitment to creating an inclusive culture where all employees can thrive,” says Genevieve Dombrowski, senior vice president of human resources.
LKQ says that by sponsoring WIN, it hopes to help all women understand the value of a career in the collision industry. The company says its goal is to increase women’s interest in all roles, specifically leadership roles, in the field.
The sponsorship includes complimentary memberships for LKQ employees, which gives them the ability to network with other members of WIN. Being a member also provides access to educational webinars and educational conferences for LKQ's employees.
“WIN is committed to driving the future for women in collision repair, and LKQ is committed to providing our women leaders an opportunity to connect, learn and grow with other leaders focused on improving retention for female employees and attracting more females to our industry,” says Amanda Allen, director of employee experience at LKQ.
WIN says its mission is to support and enhance the role of women in the collision repair industry, promoting education, professional advancement and networking. The all-volunteer group represents various collision industry segments, including repair facilities, suppliers, consultants, information providers and insurance companies.
