The new facility measures 30,000 square feet and offers a range of IT asset disposition services, including demanufacturing, hard-drive eradication, recycling of obsolete electronics and destruction of other electronic equipment.
The company is focusing much of its energy on the on-site destruction of hard drives, PDAs, cell phones and other electronic equipment, according to EPC President Dan Fuller.
To accomplish this, the company owns and operates three mobile destruction trucks that are capable of shedding electronic scrap at its customers’ locations.
The decision to open a Houston facility follows EPC having established a strong network of customers in the area, the company says.
In addition to its Houston location, EPC also operates facilities in Las Vegas; Columbia, S.C.; St. Charles, Mo.; Earth City, Mo.; Kansas City, Mo.; and Oakville, Ontario.
