AERT OPENS THIRD FACILITY
Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. (AERT) has announced the start-up of operations at a plastic recycling facility in Alexandria, La. The 50,000-square-foot Alexandria plant is AERT’s third plastic recycling operation.
"AERT has leased this facility and most of the equipment," Joe Brooks, AERT chairman, says. "The facility will supply recycled plastics to both our Springdale (Arkansas) and Junction (Texas) plants."
AERT, which is based in Springdale, operates four manufacturing facilities, converting reclaimed plastic and wood fiber waste into Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® decking systems, MoistureShield® door and window components and MoistureShield® CornerLoc™ exterior trim components.
