Alliance Forest Products U.S. Corp., is upgrading deinking capacity at its Coosa Pines, Ala., mill. New equipment ordered from Voith Sulzer Paper Technology includes cleaners, multi-screens, and flotation machines.
The mill's newsprint deinking system has a capacity of around 1,700 tons per day. The mill produces close to 1,000 tons of newsprint a day, in addition to uncoated groundwood paper, kraft market pulp and roll fluff pulp.
