Waste Industries, Inc. has
completed its holding company reorganization. The name of the holding company
is Waste Holdings, Inc.
In the reorganization, Waste
Industries merged into Waste Industries Merge Co, LLC, a wholly-owned
subsidiary of Waste Holdings, Inc., a new corporation formed by Waste
Industries for the purpose of becoming the holding company for Waste
Industries.
``The executive officers and
directors of Waste Holdings are the same as those of Waste Industries,'' said
Stephen Shaw, Chief Financial Officer. ``This was simply a change in corporate
structure.''
Waste Holdings provides
collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services to commercial, industrial
and residential customer in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia,
Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
The company currently
operate 45 collection operations, 24 transfer stations, approximately 100
county convenience drop-off centers, eight recycling facilities and 10
landfills in the southeastern U.S.
