Waste Industries Inc. announced the acquisition of Shamrock Environmental, Inc. of Oglethorpe, Georgia.
Shamrock Environmental, Inc. provides industrial and commercial collection services and transportation services to its customers in the Southwest Georgia Region. Shamrock is expected to provide annualized revenues of $1.45 million over the next 12 months, with approximately $480,000 expected to be recognized in 2000.
Lonnie C. Poole, Jr., chairman and CEO of Waste Industries, Inc., stated, "This tuck-in acquisition when combined with our Americus satellite is our 42nd collection operation. It is part of our goal to strategically expand and offer more services to our customers in this area."
