Also included were two tuck-in collection operations in Wichita, Kansas and collection operations in Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota.
Waste Connections also entered into a definitive agreement to acquire two operations in Western Nebraska and Oklahoma from Waste Corporation of America. Operations include one landfill and two collection operations that tie together with Waste Connections existing operations in Nebraska, and two landfills and a collection operation in Oklahoma that fills in Waste Connections presence in that state.
Ronald Mittelstaedt, president and CEO of Waste Connections, Inc. said, ``We believe that this round of transactions probably represents the last of the divestitures from the large public companies.''
