Pan Asia Paper Korea Co. Ltd. Placed an order
with Voith Paper Fiber Systems, a German-based paper equipment company, for a
complete deinking line capable of producing 600 metric tons a day of recycled-content
newsprint at its Chonju mill in South Korea. Pan Asia Paper is a joint venture
company equally owned by Norske Skog of Norway, Abitibi-Price of Canada; and
Hansol Paper of South Korea. Start-up is scheduled for July 2001.
The new system will be able to handle both
old newspaper and old magazines from both Europe and Asia.
