Optimum Logistics, provider of the first Internet-based open global logistics system for bulk materials, and Joseph Transportation, a supplier of comprehensive railroad transportation services, announced a strategic alliance to integrate their online logistics systems. Combined, Optimum's TransLink suite of products and Joseph's RoadRunner rail fleet management system offer a web-enabled logistics solution that electronically arranges and monitors multi-modal supply chains.
Optimum and Joseph will offer their respective customers access to both RoadRunner and TransLink systems. The reciprocal deal is designed to accelerate the rollout of next-generation, multi-modal supply chain management for industries including chemical, agribulk, steel and forest products.
