Thermo Fibertek Inc. announced that its E.& M. Lamort subsidiary received three orders for recycled-fiber systems, all of which will be delivered later in the year. These separate orders, received over the last three months, have a combined value of nearly $7 million. The systems will be installed at paper mills in Chile, Turkey, and Vietnam.
The largest order, valued at $2.9 million, has been placed by the British engineering firm QPS, which is the prime contractor for the construction and startup of a new Vietnamese newsprint mill, Tan Mai. Delivery of this deinking equipment is scheduled for this September
A $1.8 million Lamort deinking system has been ordered for a tissue mill in Chile. This order is scheduled for delivery this July.
A Turkish customer, Levent Kagit, ordered a brown-paper recycled- fiber system valued at $2.2 million, which it will use to manufacture liner board and fluting. Delivery is scheduled for this November.
