Tembec Industries Inc. is in advanced negotiations to buy two subsidiaries of La Rochette SA of France for $96.3 million, according to an article in Reuters.
Tembec said it would buy Kraft pulp mill operators CellurhFone and PyrDenDecell, which have a total capacity of 550,000 metric tons of pulp a year
from their mills in France.
If completed, the acquisition would boost Tembec's annual market pulp capacity to 2.2 million metric tons.
