Sonoco Products Co. said third-quarter profit will be less than forecast because of a decline in snack-food sales.
Profit from operations in the current quarter is expected to in line or less that the 44 cents a share earned in the year- earlier period, the company said.
Shipments have declined modestly in the company's two biggest businesses that make tube containers, paper and food containers.
