Rock-Rock-Tenn
Co. announced a new structure for reporting segment results to investors. Beginning with this year's
annual report, the company will now report detailed results for the Paperboard
segment, the Packaging Products segment and the Specialty Corrugated Packaging
and Display segment.
The new Paperboard
segment includes the results of the Coated Paperboard and Specialty Paperboard,
Recycled Fiber, and Laminated Paperboard Products divisions.
The Packaging
Products segment includes the results of the Folding Carton Group, the Plastic
Packaging Division and RTS Packaging, LLC.
The new Specialty
Corrugated Packaging and Display segment includes the results of the Corrugated
Packaging and Alliance divisions.
"These new
segments provide investors who want to understand our business with a clearer
picture of our results," noted James A. Rubright, chairman and CEO.
"We now manage our laminated paperboard products business within our
Paperboard Group, so it makes sense to report their results together. The
separation of the new Specialty Corrugated Packaging and Display segment
recognizes the significant sales and earnings growth occurring in these
businesses and their increasing importance to Rock-Tenn Company."
