Potlatch Corp. announced plan s to idle its coated
paper mill in Brainerd, Minn., and its oriented strand board plant in Cook, Minn.
The paper mill will close the weeks of Nov. 20th
and Dec. 18. The moves are being made to adjust inventory levels. The company’s
Cloquet pulp and paper mill will continue to operate during the time.
Potlatch’s Cook plant will close from Dec. 11-Jan.
10. During that time the plant will complete the final stages of a modernization
and expansion project.
