Paperboard Industries
International Inc. entered into an agreement with Crown Packaging Ltd. and its
parent corporation to acquire a folding carton plant in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The
folding carton plant has an annual converting capacity of approximately 15,000
metric tons of boxboard. The folding cartons are primarily used in the
packaging of food and beverage products.
The Winnipeg folding carton
plant will be part of the Somerville Packaging Division of Paperboard and will
be known as Somerville Packaging, Western Division.
