The Newark Group announced
that it acquired substantially all the remaining assets of Perma Tubes Ltd., Mississauga,
Ontario. The core plant will operate as a part of Newark’s Northern Region
This past
September The Newark Group that it acquired the remaining shares of Perma Tubes
& Cores from Perma Tubes Ltd. The Newark Group previously owned 51 percent of
the operation.
Perma Tubes, located
in Richmond, B.C., will operate as a member of the Western Region of the Newark
Paperboard Products Division.
Last year The Newark Group acquired all of the
third North American Perma Tubes operation, located in Raleigh, N.C.
