PT Aspex Paper reports a smooth start-up for the major rebuild and expansion of the PM 3 deinking line at their Cileungsi mill in Indonesia. The line was provided by Voith Paper.
Like the other production
lines, PM 3 produces newsprint from 100% ONP, for which Voith supplied the
primary flotation and deflaking technology in 1996. This time, a two-stage
secondary flotation system, disc filtering, screw system for the existing
dispersion process, engineering, as well as supervision of erection and
commissioning, were the main features of the Voith supply. Also included in the
supply was a Deltapurge unit for water loop cleaning to further increase
finished stock and end product quality.
