Mead expects to close the Kalamazoo facility by December 31. The site's manufacturing and distribution capabilities will cease effective August 31 and will be transferred to similar Mead facilities in Alexandria, Pa., and St. Joseph, Mo.
Mead also announced plans to transfer operations from the MCOP facility in Indianapolis to Dayton, Ohio and Sidney, N.Y. The move will begin in October and should be completed by the second quarter of next year.
