International
Paper announced that it is closing its Shorewood Packaging facility in
Springdale, Ohio, by next March. The plant makes specialty papers used in
packaging. The plant has been in operation since the early 1960’s.
IP has been
shuttering a number of its facilities over the past several months. Last month
IP announced plans to close the former Champion International Knightsbridge
administration facility in Hamilton, OH. The company also is selling two paper
mills in Hamilton.
