International
paper announced plans to shut its Machine No. 6 at its Savannah, Ga., facility.
The machine produces linerboard.
Along
with the closure the company will be laying off 70 employees.
The company had actually shut down
Machine No. 6 earlier in the month, laying off 17 people temporarily.
