The Illinois Development Finance Authority gave
final approval for the issuance of $51.6 million in tax exempt bonds for Waste Management
Inc.
The bonds will refund debt sold for the waste
hauler’s Illinois operations in 1990 in order to reduce interest costs. The bonds
will mature in 2007. Reuters
