Hi-Rise Recycling Systems, Inc. announced it has a backlog of orders in excess of $9.1 million for all divisions. This compares to $7.7 million for the same period last year. The company anticipates that 65 percent of those orders will be completed within 45 days.
The Hi-Rise Florida unit of the Architectural Products Division accounts for $3 million in orders including a recycling and linen chute system for the Sarasota, Miami and Coconut Grove, Fla.
Nearly two-thirds of the backlog is in heavy equipment sales, specifically high-margin products, in the company's Solid Waste Division.
