<B>Hi-Rise Recycling Posts Upbeat Numbers for Six Months</B>

Hi-Rise Recycling Systems Inc. announced that revenues for its heavy equipment products have increased, for the first six months, to $ 4.1 million. This is an increase of more than 100% over last year's sales of about $2 million for the Solid Waste Division.

The heavy equipment product line consisting of self-contained and stationary compactors, roll-off hoist systems, tarp cover mechanisms and balers.

BesPac, the national compactor supplier for this division, also announced receipt of the Underwriters Laboratories listing for its complete compactor line including the industrial control panels. The compactors also meet ANSI standards that are necessary for safety operation. The UL and ANSI approval for compactors are expected to contribute to even higher growth potential due to safety code regulations that are required for most projects.

In May, Hi-Rise announced an exclusive marketing agreement with Huge Haul, a manufacturer of roll-off hoists for the waste industry. The national and international marketing plan for the hoist product line has yielded positive results for this division. The Company is confident that the hoist product will continue to prosper and exceed its sales projections.
