Greif Bros. Has adjusted downward the purchase price for Van Leer Industrial’s industrial packaging division. Van Leer is based in Finland.
Under the original purchase agreement, this past October, Greif would pay $620 million to acquire the operations. However, after completing its due diligence Greif is acquiring the operations for $555 million.
The transaction is expected to close the first quarter of the year.
