GreenOrder announced that two senior federal staff
members are joining the company upon leaving their government positions.
Fran McPoland will take over as senior vice president
and chief environmental strategist the end of this month. She is the nation’s
first Federal Environmental Executive. With her federal position she was
responsible for coordinating the federal government’s waste reduction and
internal recycling programs, generating a biennial report to the President on
“Greening the Government,” and providing strategic direction to the federal
government on sustainable procurement.
David Barram, who most recently served as
administrator of the General Services Administration and Deputy Secretary of
Commerce, will join GreenOrder’s board of directors next month.
GreenOrder’s initial focus is on government
procurement of environmentally sound products and services. The company has
strategic partnerships with leading environmental organizations including Green
Seal, and Global Environment & Technology Foundation. Through a partnership
with Recycling Data Management Corp. the company has acquired exclusive online
rights to RDMC’s Official Recycled Product Guide.
