The state of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and
Energy recognized several customers of Giordano Recycling Corp. with recycling
awards. This is the 11th
straight year that customers of Giordano, an Allied Waste company, have been
recognized with an award.
Merrill Lynch won the
Environmental Achievements “Large Business Award” for recycling more than 5,000
tons of material in 1999.
Bristol Myers Squibb was
given the 1st New Jersey Buy Recycled Business Network Award. This
award is designed to acknowledge companies that have established aggressive
programs to purchase products that contain recyclable materials.
The awards were given during
the annual awards luncheon held late last year.
