Macon Iron and Paper Stock, a Macon, Ga., recycling facility, received the Director's Award at the Georgia Department of Labor's seventh annual Georgia Health, Safety and Environmental Conference in Atlanta. The award was presented to Macon Iron, along with its sister companies General Steel, Industrial Alloy Supply, and Commercial Doors and Accessories.
The award was presented to the company for its safety performance, involvement in the community, the sharing of safety information and civic responsibility.
The company produces, distributes and recycles galvanized and stainless steel, aluminum, other metals, paper, plastic and architectural hardwood products.
