Fox River Paper announced plans to permanently shutter its paper mill in Vicksburg, Mich. by April. The company cited excess capacity, increased pulp and energy costs as reasons for the decision to shut the facility.
Appleton, Wisconsin-based Fox River Paper Co. is a privately held manufacturer of premium printing papers. It has more than 1,000 employees at facilities in Appleton, Wisc., Urbana, Ohio, Housatonic, Mass., Vicksburg, Mich., and Ripon, Calif.
